How would you answer to Jung describing himself as an ST as a young man, and as an NT later in life? I agree with the general gist of your thoughts – namely, people are far too flippant about “my type changed” – but I do think there’s space for understanding type as genuinely changing over the course of a lifetime.
That’s mostly what I’m going for- those that think getting smarter made them go from “F” to “T” or something like that. But Jung’s work was the foundation for what would eventually become what we know as MBTI and I see some of his views as sort of the rough draft of the theory. It’s not necessarily incorrect and almost needed as a way to build off of it, but I don’t agree with it.
