MBTI: Anna and Elsa- ENFP and INFP

What a weird concept, for Disney to make a movie with not one, but two princesses and then turn and (Spoiler) have the romantic interest turn into a bad guy.

If you haven’t seen Frozen by now, you’re either living under a rock or don’t have a woman in your life that’s had the chance. Your time will come.

Anyway, Anna and Elsa’s personalities are not only great fits for ENFP and INFP, their interactions are partly what give it away. Continue reading

ZRE Podcast #5- Top 5 Heroes

Posted in Podcasts, Top 5 Lists with tags , , , , , on 03/17/2014 by McCutcheon

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, don’t worry, I’ve been alive and healthy. If you hate that I’ve bee doing okay in the time that you may have thought that I wasn’t okay, well screw you!

This week, I’m joined by Josh as we discuss our Top 5 heroes of ALL TIME. There’s no going back after this, folks. Once you say yours out loud or type it down, it’s permanent. So unless you really mean it…don’t say it.

There are only two rules-

1. They can be any genre, any medium (Literature, Film, Television, etc.) but they must be fictional. You can’t really compare your great uncle that saved your life in that skiing accident that one time to the Fantastic Four’s Thing, this is just for the heck of it.

2. They can’t be a straight-up villain. Sure you could argue almost anybody, but save them for a villains list. Continue reading

Movie Review: Need for Speed

Posted in Reviews! with tags , , , , on 03/14/2014 by McCutcheon

Stars: Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots, Dominic Cooper, Scott Mescudi, Ramon Rodriguez, Rami Malek, Michael Keaton

Rated PG-13 for sequences of reckless street racing, disturbing crash scenes, nudity and crude language, Running time 130 minutes, Action/Crime/Thriller

Compare to: The Italian Job (2003), Fast Five (2011)

When basing a film off a video game, makers should be aware that your chosen adaption may be either met with excitement or disgust, depending on how familiar the viewer is with said game.

Everything you need to know is from the title and the fact that Aaron Paul of TV’s Breaking Bad is the star. How you feel about those two things alone will determine how much you like this movie. Me? Well, the games have no story but sure, it looks cool. And I love Aaron Paul because I love Breaking Bad, but he’s no Steve McQueen. Continue reading

OMG I cant’ baleive how mach thes thigns SUK! LOL but srsly, they’re not so great. We mostly delve into the lost art of poster art and the stories they could tell…but leave out in favor of terrible cartoon images to appeal to small children or the dumbest movie goer that happens to walk by. Movie Review: 300: Rise of an Empire

Posted in Reviews! with tags , , , , , on 03/07/2014 by McCutcheon

Stars: Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Lena Headey, Rodrigo Santoro, Hans Matheson

Rated R for strong sustained sequences of stylized bloody violence throughout, a sex scene, nudity and some language , Running time102 minutes, Action/War/Drama

Compare to: 300 (2007), The Immortals (2011)

Exactly seven years ago to this day, Zack Snyder’s 300 was released to the unexpecting viewers and Period/Action movies haven’t been the same since. If a movie is made that happens to take place hundreds of years ago, don’t expect historical accuracy and don’t expect to see backgrounds that haven’t been created on a computer.

So is this one even worth watching? Surely all the studios did was notice the scores of films and shows being made in 300’s likeness and say “Hey! This is ours! We need to be cashing in on this again!”

But surprisingly, this doesn’t make any lame attempts are copying it’s predecessor nor does it rip off the original’s own copycats like many sequels are so tempted to do. Continue reading
