Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

When I was first introduced to MBTI, I’d see online that there was a “Sensor vs Intuitive” thing going on. Seems a bit imbalanced, doesn’t it? Considering there are so many more sensors than intuitives and you’ve got to have both anyway; one side dealing with the others’ problems they didn’t know they had.

No, the real war is between Judgers and Perceivers. Those control-freak judgers! Just leave me alone! Lazy perceivers! Get off your bums and accomplish something!

No, but in all reality, understanding the others’ working process, among other things is key to applying MBTI. Here are some differences and similarities between Brienne (Of Tarth!), an ISTJ and Oberyn “Red Viper” Martell, an ESTP.

Yes. There will be spoilers. Continue reading

tusk7Spoilers Ahead!

Upon viewing Kevin Smith’s newest film, ‘Tusk,’ several things need to be asked- Why did fans vote #Walrusyes? Does serious Horror have a place with outrageous Comedy? So many questions, I’m losing my mind! Okay, so there are only two, but you get the point. Check this out if you if you want to laugh sparingly and cringe often. Continue reading

Movie Review- Tusk

Stars: Michael Parks, Justin Long, Genesis Rodriguez, Haley Joel Osment and Guy LaPointe

Rated R for some disturbing violence/gore, language and sexual content, Running time 102 minutes, Horror/Comedy

Compare to: The Human Centipede (2009), Red State (2011)

We don’t normally associate Kevin Smith with Horror films but it seems after his 2011 effort, Red State, and a podcast he’d done and taken the idea as far as he could, it looks like he’s going to dig a little deeper.

Though the film has made its way into theaters around the nation, it’s tough to imagine Tusk finding its way into the hearts of mainstream audiences. And if I’m to go by the excruciatingly loud Mexican family sitting behind me in my screening, the kids won’t care about it either.

Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

Has there ever been a more hated character in television history? Probably not. Even Satan has his worshipers but nobody likes Joffrey.

Would Joffrey care that you don’t like him? Maybe, but he wouldn’t admit it. Then he’d probably opt to show you how little he cares with a few crossbow bolts and then forget about you. Continue reading

Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

You could say that any type has a “subtype” of sorts. Many people are willing to write MBTI off because being that type puts them in a box and since they cannot be another type, they believe it to be highly limiting in how they’re viewed.

As mentioned previously- NO! That’s not how it works. Unless you consider the reality that people will always box you in in some way. They’ve only got so much space in their brain, we don’t all have time to understand each others’ complexity. So while you are your type and only your type, your upbringing, environment, and various other factors play a role in who you are.

Using three characters of the same type from Game of Thrones as models, we’ll go into three types of ISTPs you could just as soon come across in your real life. Continue reading

Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

Westeros’ two most devious information brokers have got one thing going between the two of them- Ne. It’s not surprising at all that Littlefinger is often typed as INTJ, being that he works behind the scenes and it seems to be for total control. But Varys as INFJ? Are we watching the same show?

Here’s an examination and comparison of the characters and their respective types. Continue reading

MBTI: Cersei Lannister- ESFJ

Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

While ESFJs are generally thought to be the most motherly of all types, there is another side to that coin. And on the other side of that coin is a manipulative and vicious aspect you don’t see coming until it’s too late and you’re screwed because she’s your mom.

Just playing, mom.

Cersei Lannister may be evil, but it’s the kind of evil that some parents will justify when they look at the world as being against they’re family unless they fight fire with fire. Continue reading

MBTI: Jaime Lannister- ESTP

Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

A sick twist on Prince Charming, Jaime Lannister goes in and out of being villainous and heroic. We start off hating him but slowly we start to see the more human side of him.

It’s not that far from how an ESTP could be seen in reality. The ultimate jock, for some it takes a bit getting used to before they can actually see this type for more than just the loud-mouthed jock.

Let us continue! Continue reading

MBTI: Tyrion Lannister- ENTP

Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

What a perfect representation of the ENTP- in the form of a “little person.” Not only is Peter Dinklage breaking boundaries in his own career, the character is great even if he were of average height; though the inclusion of the ridicule he faces makes the character that much more intriguing.

Often times, characters have a dark past we’re meant to think is mysterious or a well placed scar across their face to make you believe they’re ruggedly handsome. Here, we’ve got a character whose “hindrance” is one never been seen before because it’s not cool- making him even more worthy of “underdog” status. Plus he’s got a cool scar. Continue reading

MBTI: Daenerys Targaryen- INFJ

Spoilers! You’ve been warned!

Even in a fictional world, the only one left of the Targaryen empire and the only one who can command (Sort of) the last dragons would be INFJ.

Daenerys’ role in the story is an interesting one, as she (similar to Jon Snow) is on the outskirts of the majority of the rest of the characters yet seems to be playing a part that could change everything in Westeros. You don’t silently build an army and not even attempt to get back your family’s throne, c’mon. That’s Fantasy War 101. Continue reading
