MBTI: Snape- INTJ

A great representation of the INTJ who’s real master plan you never saw coming until it was too late, Severus Snape’s backstory has got to be the saddest in all of Harry Potter lore.

We’ll be going over some aspects to the INTJ they don’t like to talk about until you pretend they don’t understand that side of humanity. What am I talking about? You’ll see. Continue reading

MBTI: VOLDEMORT- ENTJ

v1

It could have only come down to two choices, right? INTJ or ENTJ. We must have gone over the differences a hundred times by now but there’s always a new way to word it.

Tom Marvolo, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, Tom Riddle, You-Know-Who; they’re all named to denote the most evil of evil. The guy who has about as much going for him as Satan himself. But unlike the only other type he could be confused for, the INTJ, Voldemort, once powerful enough, prefers to literally be on the front lines of the battle, making sure he’s seen. Because hiding in the shadows isn’t nearly as much fun as destroying the light head-on. Not when you’ve got the power anyway. Continue reading

MBTI: Hero Typing Tropes

hero18

I had to word the title carefully so as not to make it sound like I was typing “Heroes,” the show and so it wouldn’t so like the other post, MBTI: The Types (of Types) of Heroes. Though I guess any writer who knows how to bring in the readers would have made it sound like both of those posts just to get everybody. But that ain’t me.

If you’ve come here enough, you’ve seen links to what has to be one of the greatest sites on the internet, TV Tropes. Yes, even better than BubbaliciousBlackBubbleButts.com. If that’s a real site, I had no idea. And from TV Tropes and Typing, can come the realization that every type fits well within the confines of some of the many sorts of heroes fiction can bring us. So while we’ve described how each type is represented in the Hero mold, let’s reverse this to see how the Hero mold can fit certain types.

If you see the name, there is a link to it. Continue reading

MBTI: Ocelot- ENTP

“The world today has become too soft. We’re living in an age where true feelings are suppressed. So we’re going to shake things up a bit.”

You’ve got tricksters, and then you’ve got magnificent bastards. If [Revolver] Ocelot isn’t the latter, then I haven’t been playing Metal Gear Solid and where am I mother, just take me home, I’m crazy and smell fresh bread. I hear it’s amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock.

I need scissors! 61! Continue reading

MBTI: ZEUS- ENTJ

zeus2

The father to many of Greek mythologies’ most famous figures, Zeus, god of the sky and thunder, is also king of the gods and Mount Olympus, their home. He’s just got it all, doesn’t he? What a jerk. A very sexual jerk.

Seriously though, if there’s one thing that’s always mentioned about Zeus aside from his thunder-throwing, it’s how he gets it on with everyone under (and above) the sun. He helps to exemplify the best and worst in the ENTJ personality. On one hand- he’s the king of the gods. Need I say more? On the other hand, he’s a complete douche. Continue reading

MBTI: Q- INTP

Q

It’s been a while since I tackled the walking brain that is the INTP. And for a while I didn’t care about typing Q because I was never sure if he was ENTP or INTP. The older a character/person is, the more difficult it can be to type because, with any stroke of luck, they’ll begin to balance out. So Q making jokes and being funny while inventing crazy weapons and tools isn’t strictly ENTP territory. Especially not for the rebooted Q. His jokes are muted and his gadgets aren’t so…gadgety.

And it’s not like all INTPs are brilliantly learned, literal Architects as Q isn’t the architect of every single invention. Let’s just be happy for Q he wasn’t around to witness the horror of the invisible carContinue reading

MBTI: Angstrom Levy- INTJ

Warning! Spoilers ahead!

I love this guy. You can’t help but get into a character that plays the world-ruling supervillain trope straight but parodies it at the same time. Angstrom Levy is part Doctor Doom, part Brainiac, all megalomaniac.

If you haven’t made yourself familiar with Invincible comics yet, I shame you and your father! Continue reading
