MBTI: Barbara Gordon- ENTJ

Notice I can’t just title this “Batgirl?” Or “Oracle” for that matter? DC has a way of introducing a character with an alias and then go down the line or pass the mantle. Sorry but Marvel just isn’t that confusing.

Originally just a “girl Batman,” Barbara really has taken on a life of her own in the comics, despite her eternal connection to the Dark Knight. Whatever the continuity is, modern age or New 52, Barbara will break all the rules to do what she thinks is right. This could describe several types but Barbara’s particular brand of rule-breaking leans toward the Field-Marshal. Continue reading

MBTI: Damien Wayne- ESTJ

Entitled, snobby…but pretty skilled all the same, people’s feelings on the son of Batman are usually black and white; a description often used to describe the type at hand. It can’t be helped. ESTJs don’t like things cluttered and prefer as much clarity as possible- this could be taken a number of ways but nothing more so than their personal relationships.

It’s why little Damian is such a jerk. Continue reading

The Riddler is Actually Getting to Me

riddle

Warning! Mild spoilers ahead!

Sure, it’s weird that I’m writing about this but after spending two weeks (I think) playing Arkham Knight every single day, I feel the need to write about it so I can say the time was more useful than just playing a game I liked.

If you’re familiar with the Edward Nygma, aka The Riddler, you can already see where this is going. One of Batman’s most well known villains has a penchant for leaving riddles that can’t be solved by weaker minds and from this, he hopes to stump “The World’s Greatest Detective” aka Batman, and leave him drooling like a baby at how genius Nygma is. And in the Arkham Knight game, he’s really pissing me off. Continue reading

MBTI: Nightwing- ENFJ

Batman’s adopted son/partner-in-anti-crime, master gymnast, the first Robin, and with a whole list of other achievements, Dick Grayson’s biggest feat is his ability to deal with the ugly side of Gotham and still keep a smile on his face as Nightwing. No, actually it’s being numero uno on Top 50 sexiest male characters in comics. Suck it, number 46!

From Gotham to NY and Bludhaven and back to Gotham, Grayson’s sense of humor and love of people have gotten him out of some pretty bad situations. The ENFJ you know may be the same way, as their habit of stubbornly knowing what’s the best for others can be as frustrating as Batman’s own stubbornness to do his own thing. Difference is, ENFJ has people skills. Hey-ooo- Continue reading

fight30

We’ve discussed rivalries before, but this is different. Regardless of universe, there will rarely ever be a way for our favorite characters to actually battle it out. You’ll always have fans hatefully disagreeing or one character loses due to the plot demanding that one to lose.

So for a few minutes, we sit down to go through a few of these dream matches and why the outcome would be…what it would…be. Continue reading

Mild Spoilers Ahead!

We’ve all been there, whether we recognized it or not. That guy or girl we stare down through the crowd. It’s like something out of a Coldplay music video except that you hate each other. Well, that’s what we’re talking about today. Josh and Taylor are going over some of the greatest rivalries to ever grace the screen (or page). That and the pronunciation of “butting heads.” Continue reading

Who doesn’t enjoy a good question now and again? Me personally, I like to sit down by a warm fire with some scalding hot cocoa and when I spill it onto my crotch scream at the sky “WHY?? WHY?!?!?”

But that’s for another time. Today on the podcast, we tackle a few things, only one of which is actually current in today’s fast paced news world. Come in and take a seat, hot cocoa is on the way. Continue reading

MBTI: Scarecrow- INTJ

Being the same type as Batman doesn’t necessarily guarantee the title of archenemy but he still makes for a great villain, no matter the medium.

Doctor Doom may be the INTJ stereotype and Walter White one of the best written INTJs, but Scarecrow’s place is the physical manifestation of an INTJ dark side is solidified in his bizarre brand of manipulation and control, never knowing when to quit and always having an exit strategy ready…until the dark knight gets his hands on him of course. Fresh off the heel’s of last summer’s hottest blockbuster release comes a little known character named Batman and he’s really rockin’ the comic book boat thanks to this indie publisher known as DC!

While the most recent film version of Superman took to the skies and turned their good ol’ boy into the rarest of introverts, Nolan took a different route with the Mastermind detective and turned him into the everyman that couldn’t let him or his fellow man be abused anymore. How did they do this, you spake? Click on the link and I’ll stop typing like Jar Jar. Continue reading

So have you heard Denzel Washington, Idris Elba, and Colin Salmon are considered for Superman’s arch nemesis, Lex Luthor? Well, they are.

And in the same day, Bryan Singer (director of X-Men, X-Men 2, and whatever this new one is called) has announced that he may or may not have something to do with another X-Men movie coming out in 2016 with X-men baddie  Apocalypse as the main villain.

Where do you get off, Singer? I’ve never understood that phrase until now.
