MBTI: The Fast and the Furious Cast

Film Title: Fast & Furious 6

Though I’ve had my issues with the series, there’s no denying the appeal of a seven movie film series that’s just added on three more. While they could be picked apart in terms of cheesiness and physics (“How did you know that car would break our fall?”), there’s still a pretty big cast that’s perfect for typing. Now, I didn’t say a wide variety but variety all the same.

From common street racers to international terrorists, Dom and his team have been the jealous envy of car fanatics everywhere since 2001. And since the new trailer is out for Furious 7, we may as well type this (3)billion dollar car monster. Continue reading

Some Minor Spoilers May Apply!

As much as we love our heroes, as seen in MBTI: The Types (of Types) of Heroes, where we examine the kind of heroes each type are in fiction, the villains are what makes their exploits so intriguing to watch. How can you have a phoenix to rise if he doesn’t burn first? C’mon.

And before you press on, understand that while we may sympathize with many villains, it’s their actions that make them such, regardless of how complex they may be. Continue reading

MBTI: …And The Movies Part III

Everybody loves movies. If somebody ever tells you that they don’t really like movies that much, they’re either uninteresting or they’re just trying to impress you. In either scenario, walk away from them immediately.

One thing that often adds a lot of drama/comedy/tension to any cinematic situation are the characters being complete opposites in most, if not all respects. When you have two main characters that hang out as friends and get along perfectly, well, you’ve just created an Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn Comedy and have failed tremendously. No! Not another one! Congratulations, jerk!

Below are some ideas for films starring your type and your opposite- coming together to make movie history. Didn’t know your type had it in you, did you? Well, everyone’s a star in my eyes. I’m sorry I called you an jerk. Continue reading

MBTI: Weaknesses and Opposites- SJ and NF

We’ve all got’em, and we all hate’em. No matter who you are, whatever your weakness is, it’s embarrassing (or at least it should be), and it’ll never fully go away no matter how much you’d like to think it’s not an issue.

But a major misconception about our weaknesses for many is that they’re problems others have to deal with as a result of not being able to “handle” us. We like to think that the annoying ways we externalize our problems are a lot more uh, badass than they actually are.

Well, I’m here to tell you- that ain’t the case, kids. Continue reading

MBTI: Commissioner Gordon- ISFJ

gordon

Everything about Batman screams danger, confidence, and an unbridled dedication to justice. Everything about Jim Gordon mumbles “Ah, crap. Who’s mess am I cleaning up now?”

Though the ISFJ hates the mess they’re dealing with, what they hate even more is leaving it dirty. Known for their quiet restlessness, it only makes sense that Bruce Wayne’s contact within the police would be an ISFJ. Like Watson to Holmes, Gordon relies on Batman but still carries a heavy load on his own end, never once looking for the credit that should so easily be given to them. Continue reading

MBTI: Emotional Manipulators

There are all kinds of manipulators out there. Some scientists even call our own fingers manipulators. Can you believe those guys?

But when it comes to emotionally manipulating others, we’re all guilty from time to time. Some of us make it more of a regular thing than others and it seems most people prefer a particular type of mind game. Below are the types that best fit each kind of manipulation. Continue reading

MBTI: Type You’d Most Wanna…SJ and NF

There are a lot of goods and bads to each type. Of course, right? But it’s not like there are any awards for this stuff, it’s pretty much just some weird idea floating around the internet these days. It’s in some books too but I’ve almost forgotten what those are.

So when it comes down to it, who’s the best at what? Who would you most rather have at your side when some frat guy starts talking trash to you in front of your girlfriend? Who’s the type you want backing you up when some dude gives you a snotty look when he’s hanging out with his girlfriend? And why does everything have to be about fighting?

It doesn’t! There’s more variety after the jump! Continue reading

One of the major criticisms of MBTI is that it only focuses on the positive. Maybe some do this, but if you’re approaching it the right way, you’re well aware of your weaknesses and are embarrassed by them; not turning them into fun, quirky side points of your personality.

Remember that you’re not going to like your actual problems. It’s what makes them problems.

Here’s a quick list of the types and some issues, whether we know it or not. Don’t get your feelings hurt and don’t even argue; just try to see how someone could view you this way. Continue reading

A few weeks ago, we did a podcast for our Top 5 Heroes. If you haven’t listened to it, correct your mistake! If you listened to it and couldn’t understand one of us, well, that host has since been shot and tossed into a ditch. Anyway. What are, generally, the best ways you can tell what kind of hero is which type? Some of the best written examples can be the most confusing to enthusiasts because they defy stereotypes which is normally what you could go off of.

This is a quick guide to about half the MBTI-related articles you’ve seen here.

Keep in mind, these are heroes, not villains.

MBTI: Watchmen

FILM Reviews 2

Oh, Alan Moore! You creator of thematically powerful yet equally depressing worlds, you! Though Moore has a tendency to look back on his own work with a certain disdain it seems, I’ve yet to read anything about him leaving Watchmen out to dry. And why would he? It still fits his criteria of dark, brutal, and subtextual. Then again, do you expect anything else from a guy that looks like this?

So prepare to read what’s below and disagree, only leaving me, the author of the this, to wonder who liked this and who thought otherwise. Read on, reader! Continue reading
