I’m “Too Critical” of The Bourne Movies

I love a good movie every now and then that gives me a hero worth admiring for their attributes beyond the borders of reality. But c’mon man, not like this.

Be it the camera man suffering from Parkinson’s or the cold and stagnant dialogue of “Special Director in Charge of Extraditious Affairs” and all nine of his cronies trying to track down Matt Damon from the control center, these movies annoy me.

A Summary of ‘The Martian’

When you’re Matt the Martian, being stranded can just as soon be a chance to show off your genius and settle down for an all-you-can-eat buffet of potatoes and disco music until you go back home to be a hero. He did much better in space than Mann did.

Movie Review: The Bourne Legacy

Compare to: Shooter (2007), Eagle Eye (2008)

As many were excited to find out that another Bourne movie was in the works, many were just as let down to find out that Matt Damon wouldn’t be in any of them. So how can you make a sequel when the main actor isn’t even coming back to reprise his role?Spinoff! I’ll admit I was a little intrigued by the idea of Jeremy Renner getting his own movie; playing second fiddle, so to speak, to Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol out last December and to the Avengers in (duh) The Avengers. So how does this stack up the others? Wouldn’t know, I haven’t seen them. How is it as a film on its own? Boring.

Imagine an action movie with most of the action cut out, and you’ll have an idea of how Legacy feels. Continue reading
