MBTI: Rubeus Hagrid- ESFJ

hag4 (2)

If there’s a trend to be noticed in ESFJ figures of fiction, specifically with male characters, is that they’re just as much likely to give you a semi-painful hug as they are knock your head off with a well-placed punch…that is, if you threaten a loved one.

From The Thing to Baymax, Allen the Alien to Superman, Hagrid seems to fit right into the functions of dominant Fe/auxiliary Si in a way that has him living day-to-day, taking care of those around him. You’d think a half-giant living in a world of magic would be doing more with himself (whatever that might be) but when you’ve got everything you need, why get greedy? Continue reading

MBTI: The Force Awakens’ Rey

Posted in Videos! with tags , , , , on 05/02/2016 by McCutcheon

For those of you who can’t get enough MBTI and typing characters, Tim Schwab has got an article on Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Rey and her type. Who is Tim and what type is Rey? Well, you’ll have to click this orange sentence to find out. Did I write this? No, Tim did. But I agree with his typing on Rey and Finn, whatever that means to you. He knows what he’s doing, trust him and trust the force. Now get on over there and tell him why “No, she’s actually an INFJ.”

MBTI: DC characters are hard to type

DC1

You might have noticed the amount of Marvel characters over DC (or any other company) on this site. There are a few reasons for that. One is that I grew up with Marvel and I’m much more familiar with them. So it’s natural to do more research on top of what I already know to definitively (or at least confidently) type their characters.

But that’s not really it. It has more to do with the style of the way the characters are written, and what sets them apart from other companies in the same industry. Continue reading

“No big deal… I’m coming back now… OVER”

BIGV

Revival!

Bit of an obscure quote with the title there, but it’ll do. I had to go a slightly different route than the “Kept you waiting, huh?” line even if it is more fitting. These are Solid Snake’s words after beating Metal Gear 2.

I haven’t been posting for a month and within that time I’ve gotten hyped up for the newest (and last…?) Metal Gear Solid. So of course, I’ve written about it too. Below this post is all the stuff I’ve been working on in the time I haven’t posted and directly below are all the Metal Gear-related MBTI stuff I’ve written and then a couple non-MBTI posts as well.

Going to play MGS V The Phantom Pain which I was literally just handed at midnight (Thanks, Bryce!) okay bye now-

Solid Snake- ISTP

The Boss- INFJ

Ocelot- ENTP

Raiden- ISFP

Liquid Snake- ESTP

Solidus Snake- ENTJ

Fortune- INFJ

Otacon/Fatman- INTP

Colonel Volgin- ENTJ

Vamp- ISTP

The Art of Yoji Shinkawa– Exactly what it sounds like. The ink and water color behind the Metal Gear Series.

Clone Cataclysm: Big Boss’ Descent, Snake’s Asecent– This post deals with the main ideological differences of our two main Metal Gear protagonists.

Big Boss and the Long Road to Villainy- A look at what actually makes the former anti-hero an actual villain.

The Metal Gear/Captain America Connection– Strange similarities between Metal Gear Solid and Captain America: The Winter Solider movie.

The Greatest Secret Agents Known to Fiction Surprise, Snake is on this list.

5 Properties that Should NEVER be Movies– A post taking it back to a time when my cropping skills weren’t so…on point.

The Phantom Pain Ending– My initial thoughts on the ending to the (last) MGS installment.

“The world today has become too soft. We’re living in an age where true feelings are suppressed. So we’re going to shake things up a bit.”

You’ve got tricksters, and then you’ve got magnificent bastards. If [Revolver] Ocelot isn’t the latter, then I haven’t been playing Metal Gear Solid and where am I mother, just take me home, I’m crazy and smell fresh bread. I hear it’s amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock.

I need scissors! 61! Continue reading

MBTI: Liquid Snake- ESTP

liquid3

You think you know Liquid? You don’t know SNAKE!

Considering he’s only been in one game so far (His body anyway, up until Phantom Pain), Liquid, whose real name remains unknown, has left an impression. A renegade clone of the greatest soldier to ever live, Liquid was determined to get the remains of his “father” back…or blow everyone up using the world’s more ridiculous and potent weapon.

That’s not much of a plan but it still demands to be recognized and taken seriously. Yeah, this sounds like ESTP. Continue reading

MBTI: Vamp- ISTP

vamp1

One of the creepiest characters and most capable characters in the MGS series, Vamp was a guy that just wouldn’t die, long after he began to want it to happen.

Pretty straightforward as a enemy but it should be taken into consideration that his abilities don’t directly play into his type or vice versa, seeing as how nanomachines, aka superpowers, are going to give any one type a physical edge, be they INFP or ESTJ. Continue reading
