“Those moments, they stare back at you. You don’t remember, they remember you.”
Rachel McAdams’ character says this at one point during the episode. What was she talking about? I don’t know. And that seems to be how this season is going to be from here on out. I’ve had more hope during previous episodes but now that we’re halfway through I don’t see things getting much better.

A lot of viewers had problems with last week’s start-up episode. Complaints of the show trying to hard, being too slow, and not really having much build-up seemed to be the general consensus.

I’m not sure I’m going to be doing this for every episode but the debut of the gritty crime series feels monumental enough in its own right (at least with the people I know) to not only watch when its initially airs- something I never do- but to give some thoughts on what was done right and what was done…boringly.
