It’s time.

Dun dun DUUUN!

You might have loved the film, you might have hated it, you might have thought it was okay or you may not have seen it at all, but you can’t deny Michael Shannon’s portrayal was uhmazing. The look, the attitude…the repeated “I will find him!” It just works. While it didn’t take us to the depths of madness a la Ledger’s Joker, it wasn’t really intended to. Really more so to add humanity to a monster rather putting a monster in a human’s body.

All he wanted was a home for his people. And to do that, he needs to kill everybody on our planet. And he’s an ESTJ, so why would he want this? Why else? It’s his job, don’t take it personal. Continue reading

fight30

We’ve discussed rivalries before, but this is different. Regardless of universe, there will rarely ever be a way for our favorite characters to actually battle it out. You’ll always have fans hatefully disagreeing or one character loses due to the plot demanding that one to lose.

So for a few minutes, we sit down to go through a few of these dream matches and why the outcome would be…what it would…be. Continue reading

MBTI: Man of Steel’s INFJ Versus the Comics’ ESFJ

If you can’t tell, I thoroughly enjoyed last year’s Man of Steel. Is it Dark Knight good? Nah. But what is?

And though I’ve argued with several of you about most characters that are brought to film from their respective source retaining the same personality if the writer had any sense, Man of Steel’s Superman does seem to be an exception. Last year we typed the overall character of Superman as being an ESFJ but the movie does have some different elements to it that differ from the comics.

So how does this change the character of Superman? Well, Supergeeks, let’s have a look-see. Continue reading

In Defense of Man of Steel: A Retrospect

It’s funny how divided the people have been about the newest cinematic incarnation of Superman; director Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Rotten Tomatoes has got it rated at an even 50% and Comic Book Girl talked about it but wouldn’t touch it herself for fear of getting harassed in the comment section for whatever side she might sway toward. Tried to put a link up to it but it looks like she even took the video down. I can only assume why.

And while this seems like something that should have come out around the time when the movie was first released, I needed to see again to make sure it was the same movie I thought it was in theaters. And it was actually better this time around.

Spoilers ahead. Of course.

So have you heard Denzel Washington, Idris Elba, and Colin Salmon are considered for Superman’s arch nemesis, Lex Luthor? Well, they are.

And in the same day, Bryan Singer (director of X-Men, X-Men 2, and whatever this new one is called) has announced that he may or may not have something to do with another X-Men movie coming out in 2016 with X-men baddie  Apocalypse as the main villain.

Where do you get off, Singer? I’ve never understood that phrase until now.

…which also has Batman in it, so it doesn’t really look much like a Superman movie at this point, does it?

The Fast and Furious star Gal Gadot has been cast as the Amazonian princess that wears an American flag as a bathing suit and it’d be interesting to know what people think. Continue reading

MBTI: Superman- ESFJ

Of all the superheroes in the vast world of comics, there’s one that’s always stood (or flown) above the rest. He’s the closest thing to Jesus a character has gotten since…well, Jesus.

His Holier-than-thou reputation isn’t his own doing as much as it is the truth: he’s more physically powerful than just about any character ever created and even with limitless abilities (blowing out a star with his breath), he still chooses to be a protector of humanity. His exaggerated abilities and ideology easily mirror the “perfect” type, the ESFJ. Continue reading
