Suicide Squad was Cool. Maybe Too Cool

I think this was my longest video ever before I got to editing this beast. So many conflicting thoughts on what is and what shoulda been. Ultimately we got what everybody inferred from the original picture released; Garbage Pail Expendables.

MBTI: The Joker is still an ENTP and Why Overanalyzing is Easier Than You Think

As far as certain characters go, I always see some as being the end-all, be-all. For ISTJs, Dredd is the poster boy. For INTJ, it’s nearly any hang-out-behind-the-curtains villain. And as far as ENTPs go, the Joker is the best version of the evil side.

Is being evil cool? About as cool as a serial killer (which is not cool). But most frequently, I’ll use the Joker as a solid ENTP example because he’s such an extreme version of the type that all others fall under his roof, allowing me to move on with my point.

But as the real world would have it, there are some that still argue and I wouldn’t have it any other way. And though I’ve done a post on the Joker and his type, here are some common arguments I come across that can be easily rested, also letting me bring up some bigger points in the process. MBTI: Typing the “Insane”

After typing so many characters, some historical figures, people I know and inanimate objects, it has come to my attention that often times characters will get labeled “insane” and thereby rendered untypable.

How valid is this? That an insane character can’t typed? Or more interestingly- what qualifies a character as insane? A couple conversations with a few people recently have made me feel the need to address this. Serious issues, people! Serious issues. Continue reading

Sorry, Intuitives, nothing “N” about the Joker’s girlfriend. Extraverted Sensing is Quinn’s buddy; much more than Extraverted Intuition.

The Clown Prince of Crime’s girlfriend is the perfect combination of endless optimism- and a never-ending supply of crazy. Yet fans love her.

Sounds like ESFP to me. Continue reading

MBTI: The Joker- ENTP

Was there ever any doubt? The Prince of Knaves has only ever gone between a couple different types aside from simply being labeled “insane” (read Super Sanity) and just dropped as a typing candidate. But while others types take a step back and say “Why would anybody do that?” in a seemingly senseless scenario, the ENTP may have already done it.

In every medium, the Joker can be typed as ENTP. From harmless prankster to the modern-day horror show that wears his own face, he fits this type to a near perfect degree. His willingness to go to extremes that other characters find ridiculous and/or repulsive are, in many cases, the things to confuse many on what his preferences are, functionally speaking. This is where Extraverted Intuition comes into play. Continue reading

MBTI: Batman and Company

If you read my Myers Briggs post correlating movies to their respective type, you know I’m a fan of MBTI. And seeing as how Dark Knight Rises was as great as we wanted it to be, I still feel the need to write about all things pertaining to it. Below are a list of characters, primarily villains, who fit into the MBTI types. One thing that’s so fun about Batman’s villains are the fact that each one is a different aspect of his personality. There’s a whole science to him, look it up.

Once again, if you have an interest in Myers Briggs, here’s a link. Last Batman post for a while I think. I’ve got a life, I swear.

Okay fine, I don’t.
