MBTI: Domino- ISFP

dom3

You don’t know Domino? Yo dog you don’t like the 90s or something? I don’t really either. Not a fan of MC Hammer pants and even being able to slightly relate to people who post “ONLY 90s KIDS WILL GET THIS!!!” stuff. Malcolm would be ashamed.

Neena ‘Domino’ Thurman is a mutant with the power to affect probability. Meaning her mutant ability is luck. Her other skills include being sharpshooting, a martial artiste, and generally being awesome. Her personality is ISFP, meaning she is a cat that was given human form. Continue reading

MBTI: JUGGERNAUT- ESTP

YOUR WEAPONS CANNOT HARM ME CHARLES, DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?

Alright sorry, I felt the urge. While the X-Men movies may be fine with relegating this unstoppable X-Men foe to Vinnie Jones with a stone helmet on, the “real” JUGGERNAUT (Which is spelled wrong if it’s not in all caps) is one that makes everyone tremble when his name is mentioned.

And why wouldn’t you be freaked out? This guy’s body makes no sense. He doesn’t need air/food/water/rest and when he starts moving at all, he can’t be stopped. Cain Marko is one bad dude. Do I need to mention he’s not a mutant? Continue reading

MBTI: Professor X- INFJ

Fitting the Wise Old Man archetype to a tee, Professor Charles Francis Xavier lives life trying to see a dream through. Or at least he did, before dying a couple years ago. Oh, he’ll be back, don’t worry.

Based on Martin Luther King Jr., Xavier is hoping to see that mutants and humans can one day live in peace with each other and does so under the idea that the only violence needed is to protect the innocent from the more violent antagonists that don’t have the same dream. Continue reading

James Marsden: Hollywood’s Sloppy Seconds

There is such a thing as typecasting. We know this. An actor or actress becomes well known for a certain role and not even casting directors can see past that character even though it’s their friggin’ job.

Sometimes the actor does this to themselves, other times, if they want to work in “the biz” (That’s what I call it), they take what they’re offered. And actor James Marsden has evidently become known for being the other guy the girl doesn’t want. She might think she does at first…but she doesn’t.

And he’s a master at it.

5 Reasons X-Men Needs a Reboot

Some Mild Spoilers Ahead!

You might hate me for it, but I’m going to be “that guy” for a post. It’s not that I want to be, but I think it’s called for.

With the new X-men movie raking in the moolah and garnering praise from critics and audiences alike, it seems that the Bryan Singer train isn’t likely to stop anytime soon and that’s unfortunate. Why would should they reboot a franchise that’s doing so well financially as of this last movie anyway?

Well, I’ll tell you why. Step into my office.

disaster

Man, there’s a lot going on lately. I can’t say it’s all important but it must be noteworthy, since we made a note of it. Just a quick rundown of some of the latest updates goin’ ’round the net. Including John Goodman as a Transformer and a deleted Amazing Spider-Man 2 scene that may have answered some questions…or raised more. Continue reading

MBTI: Wolverine- ISTP

wolve

Everyone’s favorite underdog and star of one of the worst movies of all time is unsurprisingly, also the Action staple of personality types: Cold, dangerous, and with a plethora of dead girlfriends in his wake.

With Days of Future Past due out in the coming week, we might as well type the Canucklehead. His personality and adventures are too intriguing to leave untouched. But don’t actually touch him; being prone to berserker barrages and all. Continue reading

So have you heard Denzel Washington, Idris Elba, and Colin Salmon are considered for Superman’s arch nemesis, Lex Luthor? Well, they are.

And in the same day, Bryan Singer (director of X-Men, X-Men 2, and whatever this new one is called) has announced that he may or may not have something to do with another X-Men movie coming out in 2016 with X-men baddie  Apocalypse as the main villain.

Where do you get off, Singer? I’ve never understood that phrase until now.

X-Men and MBTI at the Movies

Someone give them a hand, these ladies look fabulous, don't they? Flat top on the right, I'm loving your sass!

Someone give them a hand, these ladies look fabulous, don’t they? Flat top on the right, I’m loving your sass!

There’s a little man telling me to remind some of you guys of my older articles in case you’ve forgotten. And since I’ve typed several X-Men at this point (screw you Wolverine!), might as well rack up the list. It’s a point of pride to have this many done but it’s also sad in a way. I mean, how much time should one man devote to this kind of work? ALL OF IT

Also, I’ve just seen the trailer for the newest X-Men Movie and it looks awful. But what do I know in comparison to the almighty Bryan Singer, who uses some of my favorite stories to tell the world “Being gay is tough!” An anti-bigotry message? Sign me up. Fifty years summed up by “What I wouldn’t give to be normal, Bobby!” Nah.

Of all days to mention this, the most recent issue of Uncanny involves a student coming out of closet. What’s DC going to do to keep up?!?

GIVE THEM ROBIN, DC! JUST GET IT OVER WITH! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO! And not some “Alternate Universe/3rd Earth” version or whatever. Lotta people not reading comics are demanding more gayness from you guys.

Magneto

Cyclops

Storm

Jean Grey

Nightcrawler

Colossus

And lastly, something that has nothing to do with X-Men but everything to do with MBTI and entertainment, I bring you…MBTI: …and the Movies, Part II.

MBTI: Colossus- ISFJ

colossus

Sweet, kind, and a bunch of other adjectives I hate to use but are appreciable as qualities, Colossus can also crush your head like a grape. If there were ever a type that should be able to become composed entirely of metal at will…I shudder at what could be with an ISFJ.

Sure, they’re reliable, dependable, and nice all around- but that moodiness- woo! I’d stay away from creating an enemy in that one. For fear of wondering what it was you said if nothing else. Let’s read about my main metal man, Piotr Rasputin. Continue reading
